A delve into the latest Nielsen results shows that 551K Primary magazine Readers are planning home improvements in the next 12 months –they are 12% more likely to be in this mindset than the general population. The top five projects they are more likely than all New Zealanders to be considering are:
· Painting outside (+24% compared to the general population)
· Installing/ upgrading lighting (+21%)
· Carpeting/ re-carpeting (+18%)
· Painting inside (+17%)
· Landscaping (+14%)
Some are also tempted by the thought of a swimming pool (35K, +13%).
Heavy magazine readers (those reading 4+ titles) are even more likely to have extensive plans for home improvements.
